WWE NXT brand comes up with a jam-packed division those are filled with extremely talented female Superstars. Often they are helmed as better athletes than that of the main roster talents. It’s unfortunate that all these women have to compete for only one championship. Keeping that in mind, a new set of titles are likely to be introduced.

William Regal mentioned on this past episode of WWE NXT that he would be coming up with a bombshell announcement that will shake the core of the women’s division of WWE’s third brand. Now reports are suggesting that the company is planning to introduce Women’s Tag Team Titles exclusive to their division, only. This could certainly shake things up ahead of WrestleMania 37 as another NXT TakeOver PPV is expected to go down within five weeks.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the black and gold brand plans to introduce Women’s Tag Team Titles. This will be Regal’s big announcement for next week’s show,

‘Right now the plan is to introduce NXT women’s tag team titles.’

WWE does have a pair of Tag Titles for the Women’s division for the main roster. But for one-off occasions, these belts have also traveled to NXT shows.

But now Wednesday nights will be home to their own tag belts. This announcement comes after Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez competed against Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler, this past week while fighting for the Women’s Tag Team Titles on WWE NXT but the match ended in controversy. Hosting the first-ever Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic was also an indication that WWE has plans for the future around the tag titles.

Some more announcements are also expected in due course as The Wednesday Night War between WWE NXT and AEW Dynamite is reportedly coming to end after WrestleMania 37. According to the Mat Men Pro Wrestling podcast, NXT is scheduled to move to Tuesday nights starting from April 13 onwards.

This will be the first WWE NXT show after WrestleMania 37. Later, Fightful also confirmed this move. According to the Wrestling Observer, NXT had to move to Tuesday nights because of the NBC Sports Network shut-down. This would cause some NHL content to be aired on Wednesday nights on the USA Network. WWE is expected to make an official announcement regarding this, soon.
