Spoilers From Next Week’s Christmas Edition Of WWE Smackdown Live

Smackdown Live will not air in a live format, next week. The show has already been taped from the Save Mart Center in Fresno, California. WWE Superstars will get the day off for 25th December. R-Truth and Carmella featured in the opening segment entertaining the Smackdown crowd. They came out dressed in Christmas themed attire. Daniel Bryan interrupted the verbal segment who claimed that Santa Clause was not real. The ignorant people will never understand that.
Truth reminded him that he is coming after the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania after he wins the Royal Rumble 2019 match. An angry Bryan took a cheap shot on R-Truth while he was looking for a Dance Break. The WWE Champion stomped away to Truth until the officials came out to make the save. Carmella looked on helplessly during this entire segment.
Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson and The New Day beat SAnitY and SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Bar in an eight-man match. The Usos were sitting at the commentary table during the match. The New Day came up with some dun dressed in Christmas costumes. They scattered pancakes all around the crowd as Xavier Woods played the trombone to close the segment.
Mustafa Ali performed on Smackdown Live, again. He received a singles contest against Andrade Cien Almas. An inverted-450 splash handed him the maiden win against the Mexican superstar. This was a solid match between these two phenomenal in-ring talents.

The Miz hosted a Christmas themed edition Miz TV with Shane McMahon as the special guest. Miz continued with his quest for Shane to become his new tag team partner. He pointed out that there will be other McMahons will be there to look after the show. So Shane can become a tag team performer. After a bit of hesitation, Smackdown commissioner agreed to team up with The Miz. They posed with the Best in the World trophy to end the segment.
Jeff Hardy competed against Samoa Joe on Smackdown. Joe started the match with a big clothesline and put on an abdominal stretch to punish his opponent. Hardy came back with some of his quick-fire moves. Joe dodges a Whisper in the Wind to create a brawl outside the ring. The referee had to disqualify the match after both men could not beat the count. Joe locked in the Coquina Clutch after the match to punish Hardy.

Rusev defeated Shinsuke Nakamura to win the United States Championship on Smackdown main event. Rusev started the match with a huge suplex before back and forth action broke out. A series of clotheslines followed by Rusev before Nakamura hit him with a Knee. Rusev delivered a superkick but Nakamura countered with the Triangle Choke Hold. Rusev got rid of it to hit another superkick to become a 3-time US Champion.
