Steph De Lander, the former WWE Star Persia Pirotta was having a strong romantic storyline with her fellow NXT colleague Duke Hudson that was supposed to stretch to push both of those names. However, in the middle of a storyline, Pirotta was suddenly released due to the COVID-19 pandemic budget cuts. One of the hottest angles of WWE NXT came to an end and it did disappoint the fans.

Now, the fanbase of Steph De Lander has the opportunity to catch her on TV, possibly on a regular basis following her Impact Wrestling debut. As announced last week, the Australian Superstar debuted on WWE’s rival TV brand on the February 9 TV episode in television tapings from Orlando, Florida, facing one of the most prominent female names of the promotion, Jordynne Grace.

Steph De Lander previously promised to make the former Knockouts Champion “fall from grace,” but unfortunately the raw power of the former champion made her pay. The former WWE Star was earlier rolling with shoulder strikes, followed by a headlock and a suplex. Ultimately she had to give up and suffer the pin-fall loss to a Grace Driver from Jordynne Grace.

Steph De Lander makes first TV appearance since 2022

The Impact TV appearance from Steph De Lander marked her first televised in-ring outing since her match against Indi Hartwell in March 2022. Shortly after Wrestlemania 38, she had to depart the WWE which was mentioned as another round of “budget cuts” from the company. After that, she returned to the independent wrestling scene in the United States and her home country of Australia to make appearances for Black Label Pro and Melbourne City Wrestling.

It was in September of last year that Steph De Lander announced via social media that she was dealing with a minor injury that will prevent her from competing for the next several months,

“Hey guys!! I am recovering from a small surgery (I’m ok!) so I will be out of action for the next couple of months. If you’d like to support me there are plenty of ways to do so! Subscribe to my exclusive content or check out my other links in my bio. Love y’all *smiling face with three hearts emoji* *praying hands emoji*”
