Stephanie McMahon has always been an integral part of the WWE corporate system while also being an in-ring talent for the promotion. Unlike her brother Shane, she’s been part of this kingdom since her childhood days which also earned her the tag of ‘the Queen of the Queendom.’
Stephanie McMahon interned for her father’s company when she was in college. Then she was eventually inserted into WWE TV storylines before taking on a corporate role in the company. For the time being, that role comes to an end as she announced today of stepping down from his duties on behalf of the WWE for the foreseeable future. For those who don’t know, she has been playing the role of WWE Chief Brand Officer for a long time.

Reason for Stephanie McMahon’s absence isn’t specified
As you can see, Stephanie McMahon stated no reason for her leave of absence at this time and she hasn’t also provided a timetable for her return to the company. It is also unknown who will fill her role as the CBO during her absence. It should be noted that her husband Triple H is also away from his corporate as well as NXT duties due to a cardiac incident suffered in September 2021.
Triple H, WWE legend and Executive Vice President for Global Talent Strategy & Development, was forced to retire from wrestling after that health scare and he also had to cut down his workload. It’s unclear at this time whether those health issues played a part in Stephanie McMahon stepping down from her CBO role in the WWE. The couple has three daughters together and one of whom has already started training to become a wrestler.
As for Stephanie McMahon, she began her business career in WWE as an Accountant Executive before becoming the head writer of the creative team in 2000. She would eventually be promoted to the position of Senior Vice President of Creative Writing in 2006 and then the Executive Vice President of Creative in 2007. Six years later, she was promoted to the Chief Brand Officer position that she held until this week.
