Vince McMahon was the undisputed king of the WWE which isn’t the case for Stephanie McMahon, for the time being. She is the co-CEO of the company alongside Tony Khan. Besides, her husband Triple H will continue to overlook things on the WWE Creative Team as the head.
With that, the core of the McMahon Family remains synonymous over the WWE promotion’s long history. In the wake of Vince McMahon’s retirement, there have been rumors of the company possibly going in a different direction, possibly to sell it out, much like the UFC.
Stephanie McMahon Once Threatened By Former WWE Superstar Chyna
Following Vince’s retirement, Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, and Nick Khan took control of things acting in their managerial positions. Interestingly, WWE’s stock has also continued to rise since that shocking retirement news. But that doesn’t mean that the company officials aren’t thinking about selling the brand to a different entity.

Stephanie McMahon says that WWE is looking for the best business opportunity
The rumors of a potential WWE sell-out were addressed by Stephanie McMahon during the second quarter 2022 investors’ call. While nothing was confirmed, she gave a 50-50 response to the chances. Wrestling Observer reported that the current head honcho replied that they are always thinking about what is best for the company,
“She also addresses the between the lines of the question which is a sale. She said VKM is still controlling shareholder and their management team is always thinking about what is best.” (quotes courtesy Thirsty for News)
This is obviously not the first time that the WWE has been surrounded by rumors of getting sold. A similar scenario started to shape up when the promotion started to release wrestlers from their contracts throughout the last couple of years. However, business seems to be going on its usual course for the company with Nick Khan, Triple H, and Stephanie McMahon in charge.
After Vince McMahon stepped down from his duties in WWE, Stephanie McMahon was named co-CEO and chairwoman, while WWE President Nick Khan was named co-CEO as well. Stephanie’s husband and Vince’s son-in-law, Paul “Triple H” Levesque again became the vice president of talent relations and head of creative.
These changes were able to bring back the freshness around WWE programming that was missing during the Vince-era. Also, a number of released ad underutilized talents have been brought back to shake things up for good.
