Earlier this week, Stephanie McMahon dropped a bombshell through Twitter by announcing her resignation as co-CEO and Chairwoman of WWE. Now that she’s free from her duties in the company, it might be time for her to take care of her family and herself. This is why she has recently decided to deal with a health issue.
As informed on her Twitter account, Stephanie McMahon revealed through a photo of undergoing ankle surgery, writing,
“Busy week! Thank you Dr. Waldrop, @AndrewsSportMed and the Orthopaedic Center Staff for fixing my ankle! And to Kevin Wilk @ChampionSportsM for already getting me started on rehab! (And of course to my amazing caregiver @TripleH) #RoadtoRecovery.”

Stephanie McMahon is currently gone from the WWE
Just a few days ago, Stephanie McMahon announced her resignation from the co-CEO position of the WWE in the wake of her father’s re-entry into the WWE board of directors. As a result of the departure, significant changes have also been noticed in WWE’s leadership as Nick Khan now only holds the title of sole WWE CEO. In contrast, Vince McMahon has been elected as Executive Chairman of the Board.
For years prior to this, WWE had Vince McMahon as the Chairman and CEO while Stephanie McMahon worked as an executive with her husband Paul “Triple H” Levesque overseeing the developmental. However, things changed in a drastic manner after Vince was forced to leave with a hush-money scandal ongoing against him.

Now that Vince is back on the board of the WWE, it appears that Stephanie McMahon opted to leave the WWE on a permanent basis. In an interview with Shakiel Mahjouri, Kofi Kingston touched on the topic and what the influencer’s exit means to WWE,
“I’ve been so lucky to have gotten to know Stephanie very well over the past 15 years and her passion for the industry is just undeniable. She does so much for the company, whether a lot of it gets seen or not. She is part of the lifeblood that allows the WWE to exist. So her presence will definitely be missed for sure but I think she’s earned the right to retire and enjoy her family life and I’m happy for her in that sense.” (quotes courtesy Wrestling INC)
