Professional wrestling legend and WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin who is a former six times WWE World Champion recently talked about appearing on WrestleMania 38 and the botched Stunner sell by Vince McMahon at the event. He also talked about the Stunner sells of The Rock.

Stone Cold Steve Austin made his long awaited return to action last year at WrestleMania 38. On the night one of the event one on one against Kevin Owens and on the night two, he appeared after the match between Vince McMahon and Pat McAfee. At first he took out Theory with a Stunner. Theory’s Stunner sell reminded us of the epic Stunner sells of the late great Scott Hall.

He also hit a Stunner on Vince McMahon to give us a glimpse of the legendary Austin-McMahon rivalry, which is still considered by many as the best rivalry in professional wrestling history. McMahon, however, completely failed to sell the Stunner. But the fans could live with it since he was a 76 year old man.

The Rock who is one of the biggest rivals of Austin is believed to be the best seller of the Stunner. The Rock is indeed one of the best workers of WWE during his time and his feud with Austin is still considered as one of the best rivalries in professional wrestling history.

During the McMahon – Austin rivalries, McMahon received a lot of Stunners from Austin and in most cases he sold them perfectly. He is way behind his prime and selling any move at the age of 76 is not a matter of joke. Even though his Stunner sell last year is considered as the worst Stunner sell ever, the fans can definitely live with it.

Stone Cold Steve Austin who is a former six times WWE World Champion recently spoke to UpUpDownDown where he talked about appearing on WrestleMania 38 and the botched Stunner sell by Vince McMahon at the event. He also talked about the Stunner sells of The Rock. He said;

“I love the reaction that The Rock would do. Razor took a good one, but it was all like an individual thing. Vince, I mean, he wasn’t even in the top 100. That last one at 38, when we botched that one, I just got up and started laughing because when you blow something that bad, everybody knows what’s up, so you might as well let them all in right off the get go.

“There’s been a bunch of good ones. There’s been so many. It’s hard to remember, but I just remember Rock really putting the Hollywood in it. He put the oversell into it, but that oversell matched the moment and magnified the story that we were telling. We fed off each other. We were like Frick and Frack out there.”
