SummerSlam is one of the big four pay-per-view events in the WWE calendar year. It’s also been considered to be the second biggest event for the company which in general is presented in a huge way possible, promising some great moments to happen. The anticipation is much bigger as WWE plans to go home with this year’s edition with fans returning to attendance.

As reported earlier, WWE will return to live touring from July 16 onwards with their Raw and Smackdown roster. SummerSlam pay-per-view falls within the schedule in August which is especially rumored to be a huge one where the likes of Brock Lesnar could make his return. The event is also expected to feature the in-ring return of John Cena and WWE Hall Of Famer Edge.

Now, one of the head honchos of the WWE has opened up about Summerslam becoming pretty big, this year. While speaking to Yahoo Finance, Stephanie McMahon was asked whether she has any plans to return to the in-ring competition at the biggest party of the summer, this year. (Considering she featured in a singles contest against Brie Bella, seven years ago on this particular show)

Stephanie McMahon had great news on Summerslam 2021

Stephanie McMahon stated that it is unlikely she will be competing in the ring, anytime soon but she did promise a lot of big surprises to expect at the event.

“Ever since Ronda Rousey broke my arm, I have a little PTSD. I’m not sure you’re going to see me in the ring anytime soon, but I guarantee for SummerSlam, there is going to be a lot of surprises,”

Stephanie also mentioned how positive the ticket sales have been going, right now,

“We are currently on sale with about 26 different events, and of course, SummerSlam goes on sale this Friday. Very important… August 21 from Allegiant Stadium, which is Raiders Stadium in Vegas, we’re so excited, and we have seen excellent results so far. We are definitely tracking way ahead of where we were actually the last time we were in market for these events. So, we feel very good about it.”

As noted, WWE will return to the road beginning Friday, July 16 with a live SmackDown episode in Houston, Texas at the Toyota Center. Overall 27 tour dates are confirmed to take place after with shows in North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Oklahoma, California, and many other states.

Lead WWE Production Designer Jason Robinson spoke with Edward Douglas of Below The Line to note that they are planning a big structure for the roof at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, the location for the WWE SummerSlam PPV on August 21. At the same time, new sets are also expected for Raw and Smackdown, down the line.
