Summerslam 2022 is going to be the biggest event of this summer from WWE, as always. Since the event is emanating from a stadium, the company will pull out all the tops in order to make it a success. As of this writing, only two matches have been confirmed – Roman Reigns (c) vs. Brock Lesnar in a Last Man Standing Match for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship and Happy Corbin vs. Pat McAfee.
Another match for Summerslam 2022 may become official on this week’s WWE Raw when The Miz responds to the challenge laid down by celebrity Logan Paul during the latter’s WWE contract signing. Besides, one more match could be in the pipeline for the big event featuring the top babyface superstar of Raw in Riddle.

On a recent episode of Smackdown, Roman Reigns defeated Riddle to retain the Undisputed WWE Universal Title. On the very Monday’s RAW, Riddle lost to Omos in a Men’s Money In The Bank Qualifying Match. After the match, Seth Rollins attacked Riddle to start a possible feud that’s going to culminate in a match at Summerslam 2022.
WWE Summerslam 2022: Three Matches Officially Set For WWE PLE
Summerslam 2022 might witness a big solo match for Riddle
According to Dave Meltzer on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, the ongoing feud between the two is likely being built for SummerSlam 2022 for a top match from the red brand. Seth Rollins was in the Money in the Bank Ladder match alongside Riddle but now he would be on a collision course with Riddle for July 30 PLE.
“I didn’t think he was going to win, but, I didn’t think that it was going to be, tree slam and then another tree slam, and then Rollins would lay him out and obviously the idea is, with Cody out, that Rollins who is, you know, top heel on the brand, probably is going to be doing a program with Riddle, and there’s nothing wrong with that,” the source noted.
Summerslam 2022 will take place on Saturday, July 30 at the Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennesse and including the above-mentioned match, the current card stands as follows,
– Last Man Standing Match For The Undisputed WWE Universal Championship: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Brock Lesnar
– The Miz vs. Logan Paul
– Happy Corbin vs. Pat McAfee
– Seth Rollins vs. Riddle
