Liv Morgan has been on cloud nine in recent times. Her journey as a novice wrestler since 2015 has been well-documented and many thought her stay in the same way rather than being a champion. Proving those haters wrong, she managed to scratch and crawl her way to the top of the food chain on the female roster.

Back at WWE Money in the Bank 2022 premium live event, Liv Morgan outlasted six other female superstars to win the women’s Money In The Bank ladder match. She then successfully cashed in her contract against former champion Ronda Rousey and become the first woman after Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair to pin the Baddest Woman on the Planet.

Reports claim that it was Rousey herself who wanted to drop the title to a hard-working female superstar like Liv Morgan. Heading into Summerslam 2022, the update is that she would be defending the title in a rematch against the former champion. Many do believe that a match on July 30 would mark the end of the current champion’s reign but that may not be the case.

Liv Morgan slated for a title defense after Summerslam 2022

As per a recent advertisement for WWE Live Events, Liv Morgan is now scheduled to defend her newly won championship against Ronda Rousey and Natalya in a triple-threat match at a Live Event in Ottawa, Canada. The show is slated to happen at the Canadian Tire Center on Saturday, August 20th. This house show date falls after SummerSlam and the championship defense indicates that the title won’t change hands at the biggest event of the summer.

The card for the house show can always change given the upcoming scenario. But Liv Morgan getting booked in a championship match against two veteran talents in Rousey and Natalya itself would be an achievement for the former Riott Squad member. Furthermore, it’s a hint that she won’t be moving from the title picture, anytime soon.

Amid all the speculations, a massive return could also happen in the form of Charlotte Flair who’s been away since Wrestlemania Backlash in May. The Queen is expected to make her comeback, this summer and then go after the blue brand title to make things even tougher for the champion, Liv Morgan.
