Ever since WWE is using Liv Morgan as a singles superstar, she has shown a tremendous amount of growth in her stature. Since her WWE debut a few years ago, she scratched and crawled her way to the top as a member of the Riott Squad. Now that she is going solo, it’s safe to say that she’s one of the top stars of the WWE Women’s Division. Now she can call herself a champion of the blue brand.
In the opening match of the Money In The Bank premium live event, Liv Morgan overcame six other female superstars from both Raw and Smackdown to become Ms. Money In the Bank. Waiting barely for over an hour, she decided to cash in her contract after Ronda Rousey defeated Natalya for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Moving on, she pinned Ronda to become the new SmackDown Women’s Champion.
WWE Summerslam 2022: Three Big Matches Set; Updated Card After Raw
WWE now has big plans for Liv Morgan at SummerSlam after her big Money in the Bank win. Reports from Wrestling Observer suggest that a feud against Ronda Rousey will be ongoing starting from this week’s Smackdown. Thereafter, the two babyface superstars will lock horns over the title at the biggest party of the summer. It appears that night could also mark the end of the ongoing reign of the current champion.
Liv Morgan Likely To Have Short Title Reign With Women’s Title
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, the current plan will see Liv Morgan putting her title on the line against Ronda Rousey at SummerSlam 2022. Since WWE doesn’t see the champion heading into the bout as a strong one, the upcoming event in July could also mark the end of the reign causing a short reign for the former Riott Squad member.
“The fans won’t be happy with [Liv losing the title at SummerSlam]. But I don’t think the idea is to go with Ronda as a heel, because Charlotte Flair is going to be her opponent when she comes back.”
WWE Hall Of Famer Reacts As Natalya Can’t Stop Posting Seductive Photos
Bryan Alvarez then added that if the plan is to take the title away from Liv Morgan at SummerSlam then WWE might not want to turn Ronda Rousey heel. On this note, Dave Meltzer suggested the following, “the smart thing for me is for Charlotte Flair to beat her if that’s the way they wanna go, because that will get that heat, you know they’ll hate Charlotte Flair for it, and then Ronda will chase Charlotte Flair for it.”
Since Charlotte Flair is over with her marriage and honeymoon programs with Andrade, she can be back on WWE TV in the near future. She can always return and take that title from Liv Morgan to get the heel heat, but that’s not the current plan for WWE. If the title change does take place then Rousey vs. Flair for the title in rematch will also be in store down the road.
