Summerslam 2023 has long been confirmed which is going to be another stadium show on the current WWE schedule. Also, for a third year in a row, the company will be pulling the biggest spectacle of the summer from a baseball stadium, marking a huge success on their part.
Being the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns is expectedly main-eventing Summerslam 2023. However, there’s no update on who he’ll actually be facing. Meanwhile, Xero News reports that some matches are currently planned for the event as given below:
– Brock Lesnar vs. Cody Rhodes III
– Trish Stratus vs. Becky Lynch
– Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn vs. DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa)
The first two feuds are in progress on WWE Raw and the expectation is that they will indeed be continuing throughout this coming summer to culminate in more matches. Trish vs. Becky was always reported to go down at Summerslam 2023 while the initially thought, short feud between Lesnar and Rhodes is also likely to be stretched.
Major WWE feuds to continue through Summerslam 2023
As for the third match, it would be a fresh contest at Summerslam 2023. Tomasso Ciampa has been off WWE TV for a while now due to injury. Being a member of the Raw roster, Gargano has teased in interviews that he’ll indeed team up with his former tag team partner Ciampa again once he returns from the injury.
There’s no update on whether Owens & Zayn will remain Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions heading into SummerSlam 2023. But a match between these four original NXT roster members is expected to be more than epic.
