Summerslam 2023 – Dream Matches on the Horizon: Eight Blockbuster Showdowns Heavily Rumored for the Upcoming PLE
Another big championship match is rumoured for the event recently. According to reports from Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter. This match would be for the Women’s World Championship where the champion Rhea Ripley would defend her title against one half of the women’s Tag Team Champions Raquel Rodriguez.
Last Monday on RAW, Rhea defended her Championship against Natalya where successfully retained her Championship by defeating the former champion. After the match she attempted to beat Natalya down more, but Rodriguez and Morgan came out to save her. This might be the beginning of the new rivalry that would head towards the upcoming PLE.
Logan Paul Might Have A Major Showdown With Ricochet At Summerslam
Another big match is heavily rumoured for the event and it would most likely be a non title match. YouTube Megastar Logan Paul is likely to take on the former United States champion Ricochet. The match was the first teased at Money in the Bank where the duo got involved in a backstage fight.
The duo is scheduled to meet each other in an in ring next week on Monday Night RAW and this segment would potentially confirm this match for this upcoming event. This match might not be a technical Masterpiece but definitely it would be extremely entertaining and a high flying showcase.
Other matches could still be added to the match card of this event. The World Heavyweight Champion might defend his Championship in this upcoming event. However, be opponent is still not confirmed. But as of the picture stood by now, the opponent would most likely be the former Universal Champion Finn Balor.
