WWE Summerslam 2023 card received a major boost-up during the latest episode of Raw as a couple of new matchups for the PLE were confirmed. Not only that, a previously announced matchup featuring a former Women’s Champion has also been tweaked.
Two weeks ago, Zoey Stark scored the biggest win of her career on Raw by pinning Becky Lynch with a roll-up after a distraction came from Trish Stratus. The pair competed in the rematch with the stipulation that if Lynch lost again, she would have to tattoo “Thank You Trish” on her chest while a win would earn Becky her much-anticipated rematch against Trish Stratus at Summerslam 2023.

With Stratus standing at ringside, Becky and Stark had a back-and-forth encounter, Becky went for a Man-Handle Slam, and then into the Disarm-Her submission which forced Stratus to get involved. Becky knocked her off the apron. Stark capitalized on the distraction and went for another roll-up win but Becky kicked out and countered with the Man-Handle slam on Stark for the pinfall win and book herself against Stratus at Summerslam 2023.
Summerslam 2023: Logan Paul accepts Ricochet’s challenge
Celebrity Logan Paul was present on Raw and he finally accepted Ricochet’s challenge to feature in a match at Summerslam 2023. Ricochet again laid down the challenge on Raw after which Logan snuck out through the crowd and struck him from behind. Logan captured a video of Ricochet being down where he ultimately agreed to compete in a match against the high-flyer. Ricochet eventually got back to his feet and struck back Logan with a Superkick to end the segment.
Drew McIntyre also challenged Gunther to defend the Intercontinental Championship against him on Raw but the match was later made, official for Summerslam 2023, instead. McIntyre also defeated Ludwig Kaiser in a match after which Gunther and Giovanni Vinci attacked him but Matt Riddle came out to make the save. Gunther took him out with a Powerbomb. McIntyre fought back and powerbomb-ed Gunther through the announce table to stand tall.
Ronda Rousey appeared on Raw and agreed to Shayna Baszler’s challenge for a “Fight” at SummerSlam 2023. It appears that the match between the two former UFC stars will no longer just be a traditional wrestling match.
