The Summerslam 2023 edition, the biggest event of the summer on WWE’s part will be emanating from an outdoor stadium, for the third year in a row. WWE has earlier confirmed the venue and date for the upcoming PLE but no matches or superstars for the show have officially been advertised except for rumors which suggest that a big championship change could be waiting on that night.
At the 2023 Night of Champions premium live event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Seth Rollins defeated AJ Styles in the finale of a tournament to win the newly introduced World Heavyweight Championship.
Seth Rollins to drop world title at Summerslam 2023?
The coveted prize on Raw will be a workhorse belt that will be defended on regular occasions, unlike Roman Reigns’ Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. As a result, chances are high that the holder of the belt will also change frequently and that tradition could begin at Summerslam 2023 in August.
Currently, the 2023 Money in the Bank event is scheduled to go down at The O2 Arena in London, England on July 1st. As reported earlier by several sources, SmackDown Superstar LA Knight is the current favorite to win the Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match. The reported plan for his contract cash in has also been revealed.

Summerslam 2023: LA Knight coming for World Championship?
Xero News has reported on Twitter that Knight will win the Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match and then he would cash in on Seth Rollins at SummerSlam 2023 to become the new World Heavyweight Champion. It seems like WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H sees the 40-year-old wrestler as one of the most imported talents from NXT and hence a push is reserved for him.
There’s no update on how Rollins will be booked at Summerslam 2023 in his original championship feud. As of now, Finn Balor confronted Rollins after this week’s Raw main event which indicated that Rollins vs. Balor will be the next feud over the World Title to produce a match at Money in the Bank.
The Summerslam 2023 WWE premium live event will take place on Saturday, August 5 from the Ford Field Stadium in Detroit, Michigan. This event will mark WWE’s comeback to the home territory of the USA after three back-to-back international PLE outings.
