After a raucous Money in the Bank international edition from the United Kingdom, Summerslam 2023 is going to be the next stop for the WWE. After three straight premium live events outside the USA region, WWE is coming back to their familiar territory which will be a stadium show. The August PLE is scheduled to emanate from the Detroit Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan.
Builds for Summerslam 2023 edition will begin from this week’s Raw episode onward. If reports are to be believed then six top matches for the upcoming edition of the summer PLE has already been planned.

Summerslam 2023: update on Roman Reigns’ match
Dave Meltzer discussed the plans around Summerslam 2023 on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio and mentioned that several top matches for the PLE are already booked from the creative perspective. These matches will feature Roman Reigns, Ronda Rousey, Logan Paul, and Cody Rhodes.
In the main event of the WWE Money in the Bank 2023 premium live event, The Usos defeated Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa in a tag team match dubbed the Bloodline Civil War. Jey Uso was the one to pin Roman in that match after 1294 days which automatically sets up a match between the two at Summerslam 2023.
Also at Money in the Bank, Shayna Baszler shockingly attacked her tag team partner Ronda Rousey that allowed Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. Now Ronda and Shayna will enter a feud from this week’s Raw onward to feature in a match at Summerslam 2023.
Drew McIntyre’s return at Money in the Bank eyeing Gunther will culminate in a match while Brock Lesnar and Cody Rhodes will also feature in the last match of their trilogy. The feud between Trish Stratus and Becky Lynch will also be wrapped up at Summerslam 2023. The ongoing storyline on Smackdown will produce a triple threat over the women’s title.
