ToggleSummerslam 2023 is approaching closer and anticipation is at an all-time high regarding the biggest event of the summer. Big-time matches have already been scheduled for the event while a few returns are also being speculated for the night. One of those names is Bray Wyatt who’s not been seen on WWE TV since the road to Wrestlemania 39.
Going by the recent speculations on the internet, the supposed return of the former WWE Champion was about to go down at Summerslam 2023 but in an update, WWE creative doesn’t have any separate plan scheduled for the top superstar at the PLE, and his return could have been up in the air.
Summerslam 2023: Two Championship Matches Announced For WWE PLE
Bray Wyatt spotted in good shape ahead of rumored return
As posted in a picture on the internet, a fan recently met Wyatt and he was in ripped shape due to physical training sessions targeting a return. To address the situation, source BWE provided an update on Twitter about his possible return at Summerslam 2023,
“Bray has been around few times. His plans are there for his return. A feud suggested and approved by everyone. It’s only a call of ‘when’. The discussion is for SummerSlam. So I’d keep an eye on one of the main events of that night.”
WWE has no Summerslam 2023 plans in pipeline for Bray Wyatt
Xero News quickly provided a follow-up by informing stating that Wyatt could be scheduled to interfere in one of the top matches at Summerslam 2023: Roman Reigns vs. Jey Uso; Brock Lesnar vs. Cody Rhodes or Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor. But that might not be the actual scenario.
Ringside News reached out and they were told by a tenured member of the creative team that all these stories around Wyatt’s return were simply “rumours.” WWE creative team has reportedly not confirmed the former Universal Champion to be on the company’s internal roster and his comeback is still not being discussed. It’s safe to say that no Summerslam 2023 plans are reserved for him.
With Wyatt’s hiatus continuing, his real-life brother Bo Dallas who plays the role of Uncle Howdy has also not been nurtured to be used on WWE TV. An angle was done at Royal Rumble 2023 featuring these two and Alexa Bliss but even Bliss had to go on to a pregnancy hiatus. So, neither one of them is expected to be in attendance at Summerslam 2023.
