Summerslam 2023 was originally scheduled to culminate in the rivalry between Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus. Being a top superstar of the active Raw roster, her presence was a sure shot at the summer’s biggest spectacle but then the much-anticipated rematch against the WWE Hall of Famer was canceled.
In a surprising announcement by the WWE on the July 31 edition of WWE RAW, it was noted that Lynch’s rematch against Trish Stratus was rescheduled for the August 14 episode that will take place in the latter’s home country of Canada. But this never stopped the speculations that ran wild regarding the reason behind the alteration.
Being a popular superstar, the WWE Universe was trying to find out Becky Lynch’s whereabouts heading into Summerslam 2023 and she’s seemingly not in the city. As posted by herself on Twitter, she was seen in a selfie at a riverside which isn’t the host city of the PLE.

Becky Lynch is not in Detroit for Summerslam
Also, Sean Ross Sapp reported behind Fightful’s paywall that Becky Lynch was one of those talents who’s not in town for SummerSlam 2023, and hence a TV appearance at the PLE for any kind of backstage altercations with Trish Straus isn’t expected,
“Thursday, a report that Becky Lynch was in town for Summerslam was published, which Becky Lynch pretty clearly debunked by posting that she was actually at home in California. However, a lot of people didn’t seem to get the joke, and still thought she was working or something of the sort. We’ve confirmed that Lynch is not in Detroit and is not planned to make the trip in.”
Previous reports also noted Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus were not happy about their match getting moved from the SummerSlam 2023 as they have long been waiting to have this feud to get culminated in. But then again, WWE was forced to insert the Slim Jim Battle Royal match that will earn them a lot of money.
