An otherwise, non-televised WWE live event from India dubbed Superstar Spectacle 2023 received a new dimension upon a big announcement around it, a couple of weeks ago. WWE inserted John Cena into the show to get the WWE Universe in India excited about it. After all, he’s the greatest of all time and also perhaps the most popular WWE superstar in the subcontinent.

Just a couple of days waiting for Superstar Spectacle 2023, The Cenation Leader seems to be excited to perform in India for the very first time. After getting inserted into the main event of the show, he already expressed his feelings about the tour. In the latest, he took to Twitter and showed “gratitude” for the “opportunity” created by the WWE.

“I cannot express how grateful I am to [WWE and the WWE Universe] for the opportunity,” Cena wrote. “[WWE Superstar Spectacle] will be an experience that means the world to me, excited to get to [India].”

The main event of that event saw Drew McIntyre teaming up with Indus Sher (Sanga and Veer Mahan) for a win over Jinder Mahal and Samir and Sunil Singh of The Bollywood Boyz.

As for Superstar Spectacle 2023, most of the Smackdown talents will miss the show since the event falls on a Friday night when WWE hosts their blue brand taping.
