Survivor Series 2022 edition has been a unique one in WWE history. It marked the third time in the event chronology that the November show had come with zero traditional Survivor Series elimination matches. Such occurrences took place in 1998 and 2002 but this year things were far more different.

Replacing the traditional tag team match themes was the WarGames concept that has already become a popular one among the WWE Universe. This format for Survivor Series 2022 Premium Live Event might be retained especially after the success of this year’s edition.

With the craze of WarGames among the fans, there has been speculation that this Survivor Series 2022 must have marked the end of the traditional elimination tag team matches. Speaking at the post-show press conference, Triple H said that removing those matches, wasn’t solely his decision. Plus, this kind of match could be back in the future,

“I don’t think we’re done with anything. I think that when we look at it together as a whole, it’s about what’s best for our fans in the moment, Sometimes stuff needs a break for a while. Sometimes you bring it back later and it’s iconic. ‘Oh my God, they’re going back to that!’ To say it’ll never happen again, I think is wrong.”
