It was at the Double or Nothing pay-per-view event that Sammy Guevara and Tay Melo officially announced that they are expecting a baby, later this year. Now the couple has shared a video on Guevara’s YouTube channel, noting that they will welcome a baby girl, thus revealing the gender of the baby.

In the video, it was noted that the couple got input from various members of the AEW roster on what gender their baby would be. This was followed by a segment where the big revelation was finally made and the pair found out that they were having a girl.

Tay Melo is dating Sammy Guevera since late 2021

Before going to AEW, Tay Melo was a WWE Superstar under the NXT banner as Tay Conti. Moving to All Elite Wrestling was the biggest decision of her life where she found a career as well as the love of her life in the form of Guevera. They began dating shortly after Guevara ended his engagement with his former fiancee, Pam Nizio, in December 2021. In January, the wrestling stars officially revealed they were a couple.

They were engaged to be married in early June of 2022 after Guevara dropped the question to Tay Melo during their vacation in Paris, France. Moving on, they tied the knot in last year’s summer. Throughout their off-screen journey, the two AEW Superstars were featured as an on-screen couple in AEW as two top heels.

This is the reason that Tay Melo expected a negative reaction from the audience during their announcement at AEW Double or Nothing. This is what she had to say during an interview with TMZ Sports,

“It was pretty cool, we didn’t know what to expect, and we talked about it before. I’m like, I don’t know, maybe the crowd is gonna boo, and then we just need to be ready for it because we never know what to expect. They were so excited, which made it so much better. I was about to cry because I was not really expecting the love, so it was really special.” (quotes courtesy Fightful)
