Tessa Blanchard had been a prominent name in the history of Impact Wrestling until controversies took over her life and forced her to exit. Back in 2020, she was the first-ever women’s World Champion in the promotion after she defeated Sami Callihan, earlier that year. Just when things looked to be brighter, multiple controversies put her wrestling career to a halt.

Firstly, Tessa Blanchard didn’t show up for Impact tapings and then she wouldn’t return their belt when she was released from the company. Plus, the former world champion was also accused of using a racial slur backstage. Allegations against her claimed that she might have used a racial slur against an indie talent named La Rosa Negra before spitting on her.

While nothing, in particular, was proved against her, Tessa Blanchard’s wrestling career went into a downward spiral from there. However, the two have recently patched up to bury the hatchet. La Rosa Negra took to Twitter and uploaded a photo of herself along with the woman who was the center of the controversy, at one point.

“We are human and our responsibility in this world is to do better and/or be a better person to those around us. Being a good person at heart is not said, it is expressed naturally!!!! #love is the #calm Be #patient #boricualegacy #boricualegend #mazukamba #prowrestlers,” Negra wrote in her tweet.

Negative attention reportedly affected Tessa Blanchard her wrestling career

The racial accusations were reportedly a huge bar for Tessa Blanchard to make her next career-oriented move. Those negative attentions could have been a reason that she didn’t end up joining promotions such as WWE or AEW despite having tons of rumors in the past. Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam.net reported at that point that she was viewed as “nuclear” by both of these top promotions.

This is a piece of great news for Tessa Blanchard as she made amends for her alleged actions. Perhaps, the top companies will give positive attention to her in the future. However, it’s also to be noted that WOW signed her to a contract in the recent past only to release her due to a backstage incident. Since then we haven’t seen her much in competition inside the squared circle.
