Now, The Rock spoke to Esquire and revealed that he wants to be the next 007 spy from England now that Craig has retired from the iconic role.
“Yes, my grandfather was a Bond villain in You Only Live Twice with Sean Connery. “It was very, very cool. And I would like to follow in his footsteps and be the next Bond. I don’t wanna be a villain. Gotta be Bond.”

The Rock has just delivered yet another blockbuster movie in Red Notice where he acted alongside Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot in an action-comedy venture. The film was released on November 12 and received the biggest ever opening day for a film on Netflix. Thereby, the film lived up to the most costly project to be ever made for the OTT platform.
Red Notice did shatter records but it didn’t fare as well when it came to its critical reception. But then it has served to the huge fanbase of The Rock all around the world who’d been waiting to see the megastar in the role of James Bond. Previously, Daniel Craig joked about Hugh Jackman possibly getting the role but no confirmation around it has been made, to date.
