The Undertaker has been a marquee attraction on WWE television for more than 25 years. But after his retirement in 2020, he’s not seen and the question among the WWE Universe is when he’d be appearing next. Monday Night Raw will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the show on January 23, 2023, and this one seems to be a proper occasion for the legend to make his comeback.
WWE has announced that Monday Night Raw 30 will take place at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on January 23, 2023, which will be the final Raw before Royal Rumble 2023. On this night, the cornerstone figures of WWE’s flagship show will show up and WWFOldSchool was told that The Undertaker could return for the show in some capacity.

The WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H reportedly wants The Undertaker to appear on this milestone episode of Raw. Over the years, he has appeared on various milestone episodes of Raw in the last 3 decades, including the first-ever episode of RAW (he wrestled in the main event of that night) in 1993. Then he was also in attendance at the 1000th episode in 2012 and then also in the 25th-anniversary episode in 2018.

The Undertaker went into retirement after competing at WrestleMania 36
The Undertaker retired in 2020 and was thereafter inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2022 during WrestleMania weekend. Over the past couple of years, he has only made a handful of appearances on WWE TV. His last four appearances are given below:
– WrestleMania 36 (main-evented Night One with AJ Styles in his final match)
– Survivor Series 2020 (Final Farewell)
– WWE Hall Of Fame 2022
– WrestleMania 38 (Night 1 and 2 as a WWE Hall Of Famer)
The Undertaker is one of the greatest performers in the history of WrestleMania but his final proper encounter on the Show of Shows inside the squared circle of the legendary WWE star took place at WrestleMania 34 against John Cena in 2018. The year prior, at WrestleMania 33 he lost to Roman Reigns in the main event which was supposed to be his original farewell from the wrestling industry.
However, there’s a backstory in this match that was shed during The Undertaker’s “The Last Ride” documentary. The Deadman was unhappy with his performance in that match and hence needed another match as “redemption” for the unsatisfactory showcasing at WrestleMania 33 against Reigns ensuring his comeback a year later,
“I looked old. I looked slow. I was overweight. I could not move. It just wasn’t Undertaker-esque in any sense.”
