The Undertaker possesses the greatest streak in the history of sports entertainment. For 21 years in a row, he won matches at WrestleMania before coming up short to Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania XXX. It was a surreal moment that will remain as an unthinkable event in WWE history. Plus, it would also be a controversial decision.
The two of them shared heat prior to that legendary encounter at Mania 30 when they had a run-in at a UFC event. The incident happened in 2010 when The Undertaker was still a regular wrestler in the WWE while Lesnar was with the MMA fighting company, UFC. There are multiple stories that are available on their UFC meeting, outside the Octagon. Now we have a clarification.

The Undertaker Shares Confrontation Story With Brock Lesnar
Ariel Helwani was interviewing The Undertaker at cageside during UFC 121 pay-per-view event. It was on that night when Lesnar had just lost the UFC Heavyweight Title to Cain Velasquez, and then made his way through the crowd. He then stopped in front of The Undertaker and had a brief face-off which teased his return to the company WWE for a fight.
Reason The Undertaker Lost WWE Wrestlemania Streak To Brock Lesnar
The two did have a confrontation, but it didn’t get physical. It was perhaps scripted to garner some attention, and it did so. During the Broken Skull Sessions, The Undertaker himself revealed what was the main reason behind him confronting The Beast on that night and how that little run-in went by,
“Business, brother. Forward thinking? Yeah, absolutely. I was there to pick a fight. Yeah, [Lesnar] knew I was there, but my whole mindset there was to pick a fight and start a buzz, and I knew it wouldn’t take much. That was nothing. I mean, it was so simple, but it created such a buzz. It was a shame that it took so long to come to fruition.” (Quotes courtesy Wrestling Inc)
The Undertaker was just trying to enjoy the show while talking to Arial Helwani, but he didn’t want to let go of the opportunity of drumming up attention when Lesnar walked by. The publicity stunt did work out well for him. Almost two years later, Lesnar entered the world of WWE, again, the night of WrestleMania 28 in 2012. Another two years removed, he stood as The Conqueror after breaking the streak.
