WWE’s version of ‘Demolition Derby’ i.e. TLC is coming closer and perhaps the most insane toy of those devastating matches is the ladder. It had given us many goosebumps moments, as well as these moments, have made careers shorten for superstars like Edge. In honor of WWE’s annual PPV, WWE.com has shortlisted some of those shocking leap moments from ladders.
Most of the time the high-flying superstars have tried these leaps, top of the ladder but when it comes to desperation for winning the high stake ladder matches no one seems lagging behind.
Starting from Wrestlemania 25 ladder match, Shelton Benjamin landed all of the superstars grounded on the floor with an unbelievable jump. Most of these leaps had happened in the money in the bank ladder matches creating some utter chaos with all of the superstars involved. Talking about ladder matches, perhaps the greatest ever match in the history of TLC was at Unforgiven 2006 between John Cena and Edge ending their vicious rivalry. The shocking leap moment came when Cena gave a five knuckle shuffle from the top of a ladder.
You can’t go beyond Edge as he been most of those insane ladder matches digesting kicks and drops. In the personal rivalry of him and Matt Hardy, the later decided to put everything on the line by leg dropping him from a ladder. He was even forced to quit after losing one such ladder match.
Undoubtedly the most incredible moment of ladder matches came at Wrestlemania 17 and that too from none other than the specialist Edge when he speared Jeff Hardy above from a 16 ft high ladder when Jeff was hanging helplessly.
