WWE NXT roster member Toni Storm is believed to be the future of the WWE female roster. She is destined to receive some great memories in the company especially considering that she is just 23 years old. Plus, she is convinced that WWE will bring back Evolution, the all-women pay-per-view and she would be a part of the show.
The very first Evolution event was first held in October 2018. Despite the immense success of the show, the company never brought it back. While speaking to Kenny McIntosh of Inside The Ropes and SPORF, Toni Storm said the event holds the key for WWE to “keep the momentum going” with the Women’s Evolution process they’ve started.

“I would love it, and I think there will be [another one],” said the New Zealander. “It’s important that we keep the momentum going for this women’s revolution. It’s really important to me. It’s the best thing to ever happen to my career. So I’m sure, in the future, there will be another one. No doubt.”
WWE Star Toni Storm Leaves The Sweetest Message For Her Boyfriend
At the inaugural Evolution event, Toni Storm defeated the reigning NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai in the final of the 2018 Mae Young Classic tournament and earned the beautiful trophy to etch her name in WWE history, forever. While looking back at that match, she said that win over Shirai “put her on the map” in the WWE. It also gained her the confidence she needed to expand her wings in the big league.
“That was probably the most emotional day that I had ever had in my entire career,” recalled Toni Storm. “I think it really put me on the map that night and, ever since, things have been just smooth sailing. That was the momentum that I needed to get myself to where I am now. It’s cool going in to TakeOver knowing that I know exactly how to beat Io and I know everything about it. It fills me with confidence. It’s good.”
Toni Storm on the surreal feeling during Evolution 2018
The indie wrestling veteran has also noted how surreal the feeling was to share the backstage at Evolution and watching trailblazers such as Lita and Trish Stratus, whom she idolized while being an aspiring wrestler.
“The whole the whole night was crazy because, if I remember correctly, my match with Io was on after the Battle Royal and that’s where they brought back, like, everyone that I grew up watching. So, I’m stood there waiting to go out and do this match and just one after the other… It’s just one person after the other that I grew up watching.

“It was really surreal to me. I’d never really been in that environment before. So yeah, I was like, ‘Wow, here I am. I’m finally getting to where I want to be.’ Evolution was very special to me and it’s it’s been good ever since.”
Toni Storm has won the second Mae Young Classic tournament and also won the NXT UK Women’s Championship as these two wins are the greatest wins of her career, to date. She will now face Io Shirai and Mercedes Martinez in a triple-threat match for the NXT Women’s Championship at this Sunday’s NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day. A win could put her on top of the NXT Women’s roster by all means.
