After enjoying a short stint in the WWE, Toni Storm has entered the main roster scene back in this year’s summer. Then WWE drafted her on Smackdown brand who is currently going after the Smackdown Women’s Championship. Only time will tell whether she gets success in winning a prime championship in the female roster.
But Toni Storm does have a lot of idols around her in the WWE whom she looks up to and there’s a lot that she can learn from en route to become a champion. She recently spoke with WWE Deutschland about several wrestlers whom she has been idolizing. She name-dropped NXT UK star Meiko Satomura as the top of them who brought the best out of her inside the ring.

“I’m obsessed with her. I’ve been obsessed with her for years,” Toni Storm admitted. “She’s just a dream, she’s just the best. She’s not afraid as well to just go hard and I love that about her. That’s what would bring me out. She would do something to me in matches to bring out this inner-rage, inner-fire this inner-fight.
Because I feel like she made me stronger and I mean that. That’s not fake. Being in the ring with her made me tougher, stronger. Now I feel like there’s nothing you can do to me. Try and knock me down. She really helped me a lot.”

Toni Storm is a fan of veteran Natalya
Toni Storm has been a part of the NXT UK Women’s division who also won the championship. That success and the fact that she’s been the former Mae Young Classic winner led the fans to think that she would get success in her NXT stint, as well. But that wasn’t the case as she was used to putting over names like Rhea Ripley, Io Shirai, or Raquel Gonzalez.
Moving into the main roster, Toni Storm has come closer to another veteran superstar Natalya who is considered to be the most experienced female wrestler in the current WWE locker room. In the interview, the Australian Superstar admitted that facing her would be a dream match as she has looked up to her throughout her career.
“I don’t know how she does it,” Toni Storm confessed. “She could be like the most exhausted ever, but she’s still there with a smile on her face just killing it all the time. She is a very strong woman. But I know she wouldn’t go easy on me which is why going up against her would be a good test for me. A good true test.” (quotes courtesy Wrestling INC)
In her first proper feud over Smackdown, Toni Storm has entered a program with Charlotte Flair over the Women’s Title which is another good news for her. It’s certain that the newbie would get to share the ring with the best the women’s division has to offer. If she can impress the officials then a championship win can also stay in her fate.
