Before making it to the top of the All Elite Wrestling promotion, Toni Storm had to grind a lot in the professional wrestling circuit around the independent scene. After not having the sweetest of experiences in the WWE, the 27-year-old star has been able to reach the top in AEW, in the 2022 summer.
She became the Women’s Champion in the company at the All Out PPV event to become one of the pivotal faces of the female roster of the AEW promotion. In the early days of her title reign, AEW would be putting the interim tag for the women’s title but eventually, it became the women’s world title and she’s been fortunate enough to pick that belt up on two separate occasions.
“She Brings A Whole Different Element” Toni Storm On Top AEW Talent
Speaking of fortunes, Toni Storm had the opportunity to wrestle around the independent circuit all over the world which also allowed her to be in action with her current bestie Saraya’s mother. Speaking to the Daily Star, the New Zealander admitted that Sweet Saraya real name, Saraya Knight was like a mother to her during her time in the United Kingdom but at the same time, she had this violent persona,
“When I was in England I would wrestle her mother — who is just the most violent person that I’ve ever been in the ring with. She had a heck of an influence on me; I’ve been influenced by that family quite a bit actually.”

Toni Storm has high praises for Outcasts’ cohort Saraya
Currently, Toni Storm is a member of The Outcasts, a group that is also consisting of former WWE alumni, Saraya and Ruby Soho. The stable has also helped Toni to have a run with the AEW Women’s World Championship. Just like we used to see on TV, the two-time shares a strong bond with the former Paige in WWE,
“I just have always been inspired by her, heavily influenced by her. I’ve watched her, it’s crazy to me that we’re friends, it’s crazy that we’re as close as we are because she’s just someone that I’ve adored for so long. Now we are a team and I get to work with her all the time and I get to see her all the time and it’s wonderful.” (quotes courtesy Wrestling INC)
Previously, Toni Storm was very open about having a cool experience to get along with Saraya as she started her career’s second stint in AEW. In return, the former WWE Divas Champion has also openly admitted to getting the two besties for life via The Outcasts faction which clearly indicates their great real-life equations.
