WWE paid the ultimate honor to the greatest women’s champion of all-time during her retirement match in 2006. It took place in her hometown of Toronto and against her nemesis, Hall of Famer, Lita. The stage was all set for her last match, and Trish Stratus capitalized fully on it by picking up the submission win via the Sharpshooter. It earned her the record seventh Women’s Title. It had to be vacated the very next night in Raw since she was leaving the company and thus this last reign if Trish became one of the Shortest Divas Championship Reigns.
Mickie James (Women’s Championship) – 1 Hour
This incident is considered exceptional in the history of WWE where the title changed hands in a live event. It occurred in Paris when Mickie James ended up pinning Melina to win the Women’s Championship. Since she wasn’t scripted to win, Jonathan Coachman arrived to inform that Melina was being given a rematch. One hour later, that match went down and Melina regained the title via a rope-assisted pinfall win to end one of this Shortest Divas Championship Reigns.
