Apart from the injuries, low ratings and boring shows, there were some bright spots as the finest quality matches in the year 2015. Superstars put everything on the line for some of the matches that are ripe for repeated viewings. Here are they:

Top 10 WWE matches of 2015 1

Seth Rollins vs. John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar (Royal Rumble)

Even the match took place at the earliest at 2015 in the month of January, no match could stand out tall as the finest bout of the year than this one. The three superstars involved had their own styles which mixed so well to result in a back and forth jaw dropping match. As a special mention, Rollins did play his pivotal more than expected in between the two veterans.

John Cena vs. Kevin Owens (Elimination Chamber)

Without a doubt, one of the finest feuds of the year was between the franchise and a disrespectful NXT upstart. They had three PPV matches in which the rubber match at the Elimination Chamber PPV was worth a watch. To be fair nobody even knew who Owens was until the bout came up and worked as a wonder.

Brock Lesnar vs. Undertaker (Hell in a Cell)

Again a rubber match and this one were to end a decade-long rivalry. The final match was contested inside the dangerous confines of HIAC and to be fair both the juggernauts surpassed their previous encounter from 2002 No Mercy PPV. Both men tore each other apart until Lesnar F-5’d Taker in the ton wooden board of the mat.

Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns (Wrestlemania)

It was the night when we felt really sorry for Roman Reigns. The aggressor in most of the matches ran into a brick of wall named Brock Lesnar. Though, he was on the verge of breaking down it, all the offences got shattered when Rollins cashed in his MITB briefcase big time, and literally stole the championship. The brutality, thrill of the match stood out from the rest of the big match card.

Roman Reigns vs. Alberto Del Rio vs. Kevin Owens vs. Dolph Ziggler (No.1 contenders match on RAW)

RAW was rather boring most of the time last year than its usual apart from some of the only handful matches and this one is one of them where the four participants were determined to challenge Seth Rollins for his WWE world title. The match ended with Reigns delivering a superman punch following it with a spear but not before we see a flurry of finishing moves from the contestants. Perhaps, the best main event of Raw 2015.

Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose (Money in the Bank)

Both these had a great chemistry back from the ‘Shield’ days and that came to fruition at the Money in the Bank PPV. Handed the job of delighting fans in the main event and closing the show out effectively, Rollins and Ambrose had a sterling battle for the WWE World Heavyweight Title in a keenly contested Ladder Match.

Top 10 WWE matches of 2015 3

Seth Rollins vs. John Cena (Summerslam)

Rollins and Cena had built a good in ring chemistry previously and Summerslam saw both of them bringing their A-game on the night where both the US title and the WWE world heavyweight title was on the line. The ending though sucked but everything that happened before was super entertaining.

Intercontinental title ladder match (Wrestlemania 31)

The match was scheduled at Wrestlemania and so everybody involved in the match was excited to show off their capability and we witnessed some of the memorable moments as expected from a multi-man ladder match. Daniel Bryan came out victorious much delight to the crowd.

Roman Reigns vs. Cesaro (Survivor Series Quarterfinal match on RAW)

Since the announcement, it became a must see for the 2015 calendar year as two powerhouses were scheduled to collide to gain an opportunity to the WWE title. The earth shook indeed when we the match took place on the November 7 edition of RAW. Unfortunately, Reigns was scheduled for a build up for the Survivor Series PPV and we saw the Swiss superman losing in the contest.

Roman Reigns vs. Daniel Bryan (Fastlane 2015)

Many thinks WWE screwed Daniel Bryan at Fastlane PPV as a process of building the Roman Empire, otherwise, we could have witnessed the ultimate David vs. Goliath story aka Brock Lesnar vs. Daniel Bryan at the previous Wrestlemania. It was a battle of pride for the 2013 vs. 2014 superstar of the year where Roman’s power overcame the technicality named Daniel Bryan but not before the match became a classic one.
