Big E cashing on Bobby Lashley in September 2021
With fellow New Day member Kofi Kingston on the shelf due to injury, it was perfect timing for Big E to get his much-deserved singles title push. The audience erupted when the muscle of The New Day decided to cash in his Money in the Bank contract and this just shows how much-beloved character he is among the WWE Universe.
On a September 2021 episode of Raw, Bobby Lashley, just successfully defended his WWE Championship against Randy Orton after which E came in to exercise his championship opportunity on the champion. The All-Mighty still tried to overpower him but the exhaustion from the earlier match allowed E to finally put him away with a Big Ending. On this rare occasion, a black WWE Superstar pinned another black WWE Superstar during a title change.
