Dolph Ziggler cashes in on Alberto Del Rio on Raw after Wrestlemania 29
For the first time in his WWE career, Dolph Ziggler had the fans backing him up, and the opportunity to utilize him as a babyface was utilized by the creative team in a big way. The night after Wrestlemania 29 saw Alberto Del Rio defeating Jack Swagger in a rematch for the World Heavyweight Championship but he was in pain from Swagger’s Ankle Lock submission.
Ziggler saw the opportunity and came out to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase to which the crowd gave a thunderous reaction. Del Rio fought back with whatever he left but Ziggler ultimately prevailed by hitting a Zig-Zag. The night also saw a double-turn as Del Rio transitioned back to a heel on that same night.
