We haven’t seen Drew McIntyre on WWE Raw for over two months which seemingly keeps his career in doubt. There were tensions regarding him among the WWE higher-ups since his contract situation was complex and the two parties never came to any positive conclusion. That stagnant situation could alter in time for WWE’s latest upcoming premium live event.
According to a report from PWInsider’s paywall, there is currently a push within WWE to pitch new creative ideas for the return of Drew McIntyre. That being said, Money in the Bank should be the expected landing spot for the top WWE Raw Superstar to make his grand return,
“There has been a push within WWE creative to have McIntyre back into the storyline mix by Money in the Bank weekend in London. Given his status as one of the company’s top European stars, that makes the most sense.
We are told there were meetings last week regarding pitches for McIntyre’s return as he hasn’t been seen since WrestleMania 39 and was Drafted to Monday Night Raw in the weeks after.”

PWInsider further noted in their report that there is currently no update on McIntyre’s current contract situation. The current update just stated that the official could be waiting to agree with him so that the expected return on WWE Raw could come to fruition.

Updates also suggest that McIntyre wants to represent the WWE brand as a whole and not just remain a star in the locker room. Rather than just being an in-ring competitor, he just wants to be an overall ambassador to the WWE brand just like he used the carry the load during the pandemic era. Given his recent trade on the WWE Raw brand during the draft despite the absence, it’s safe to assume that he does hold a top position on the roster.

There are speculations for him to be a part of the Money in the Bank ladder match in the UK but the men’s division match lineup is full as of the June 12 episode of WWE Raw.
