Smackdown witnessed the main event United States Championship match, last night. Baron Corbin and AJ Styles battled it out over the title. But, Corbin retained it with a clean pinfall win over the man who built the Tuesday Night Show.
He ended the main show of Smackdown by giving an interview to Renee Young by gloating about the win. Fans might not like to see him as the champion, but he will continue to reign, going forward. The rivalry between Styles and Corbin is likely to end with this, too.
Another rivalry which came to an end was the one between Jinder Mahal and Shinsuke Nakamura. This might be the reason why Nakamura teamed up with Orton rather than addressing his loss at Hell in a Cell. Plus, the WWE Champion was also not present on the main show.

The champion retained after hitting his finishing move via some help from the Singh Brothers. No hint was given this week as of who would be the next challenger for the Modern Day Maharaja.
Another star who missed the main show worked in a dark match for fans in attendance. Tye Dillinger competed in a match before Smackdown kicking off. He fought against Mike Kanellis to set the tone of the show. By connecting with his finishing move, he picked up a comprehensive win.
On the fallout show of Smackdown Live witnessed another weird segment between Carmella and Ellsworth where the latter one was forced to drink like a dog!
Nakamura and Tye Dillinger appeared in an interview segment to celebrate the “Perfect 10” day, in style after their victory on the show. Plus, the new contenders for the Smackdown tag team championships, Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin were seen all fired up. They sent a strong message to the champions, The Usos.
