A quite surprise segment kicked off this week’s WWE Raw where Roman Reigns blasted the hell out of Vince McMahon for protecting Brock Lesnar over his contract. It was quite interesting to see the franchise player bringing the camera to the gorilla position and demanding an answer from The Boss, himself. However, The Big Dog was booed a lot in the building which was not expected, at all.
Cool way to kick off #RAW with Roman Reigns being basically the first person to ever bring the camera to Gorilla Position and confront Vince McMahon, who was just sitting there. Good stuff. Crowd wasn’t really buying it though, but it came off well.

The slow buildup between Sasha Banks and Bayley continued on WWE Raw. Banks competed in a singles match, this week which was not great, at all. This has been a problem for The Absolution with their leader getting sidelined from in-ring competition, permanently. The beatdown segment did not help to make a progress in the Bayley-Banks angle, as well.
Magnificently awful match with Sasha Banks and Sonya Deville. Deville looked green as all hell in this and was moving in slow motion. It looked like they were wrestling underwater. #RAW

The Miz TV segment which usually remains a good one with the mic skills from the IC Champion, fell short to a big extent, as well. However, it was managed with a good matchup between Seth Rollins and Finn Balor. Every time these two locks horns in a match, they create magic.
It was also interesting to see WWE continued playing with the audience with the John Cena-Undertaker storyline angle. The Cenation Leader continued to call out The Deadman from the death-valley which is yet to be disclosed. Meanwhile, this segment received the biggest pop of the night which was pretty expected. This is why the Undertaker is needed badly at the time of Wrestlemania.
The show continued to be confusing with an average segment between Alexa Bliss and Asuka. There’s no point to keep the Empress of Tomorrow on the flagship show when she is finalized to head onto Smackdown Live for her Wrestlemania match. The latter buildup for a matchup between Alexa Bliss and Nia Jax turned out to be a good one, though.
Another heatless segment tonight. I don’t think highlighting Asuka’s weaknesses and then laying her out to end a segment is the best way to build her up. They’ve been slipping with their treatment of Asuka in the last few weeks. I know she’ll win this match, but still. #RAW

The finishing segment of WWE Raw was another confusing one with all the tag teams brawling for a Wrestlemania opportunity. Braun Strowman winning the match in a solo manner indicates that the officials are running out of options. Overall, this was a below average effort for WWE Raw.
Except for a good opening segment, a half-way decent John Cena challenge, and an outside the box idea with Braun Strowman that had execution problems, this was not a good episode of #RAW. We’re in that lull where they need to kill time before #WrestleMania. Oh boy.
