Last night’s Smackdown opened up with the WWE Champion who got a great reception from the crowd, as usual. It was even fired up with the arrival of Rusev alongside Aiden English.
Moreover, the audience loved the idea of these two favorites fighting it out in the opening contest. But, a disqualification, out of nowhere ruined the momentum.
A tag team match announcement could not save the segment.
Not a big fan of that opening segment. While AJ came off very strong, it was the opposite for Rusev. I’m assuming Nakamura makes an appearance in the main event. Only good (cool/funny?) part was Paige imitating Teddy Long. Other than that, a meh segment. #SDLive

The first acquisition of Smackdown Live brand was revealed in the form of Jeff Hardy. Some of the fans really hoped to see Seth Rollins getting traded to the blue brand considering that the US title was sent to Raw, yesterday.
However, the officials expressed happiness to bring the United States title back on Smackdown, overnight. The match against Shelton Benjamin was okay and perhaps it might help him to do some solo acts on the show.
They are really building up the Bludgeon Brothers. Easy win for Luke Harper (or is it just Harper now?). I wonder what team will be able to stop them. Clever in having Naomi come out to save The Usos. #SDLive

The Bludgeon Brothers continued their momentums on the Smackdown Live. They are currently being portrayed as literally inhuman, right now. It is to be noted that they are neither pinned nor submitted after re-debuting on the main roster, last November.
Naomi’s inclusion into the storyline mix was a notable one, too. Samoa Joe getting added to Smackdown roster will work well for the brand which would help to build some big-time rivalries, going forward.
Genuinely wonder how long Carmella will keep her title but a nice heel promo in any case. Still minimal reactions from the crowd which is worrying. Using Charlotte to feud with Iconics can be great for their careers and getting those unfamiliar with them to better know them.

Carmella will try to present herself as the strong heel champion on the show. But, with the presence of Charlotte Flair, Iconic Duo and the arrival of Asuka into the mix, will definitely not let her hold the title for a long time.
In the meantime, she tried to defy all the roster members with a strong heeling promo on the ‘Mellabration’ segment.
Afterward, Billie Kay was seen in her first match on the Smackdown Live division. It was great to see her improving as an in-ring competitor.
Really liked the ending to #SDLive tonight. Looks like they’re continuing with the Nakamura low blow’s on AJ and they’re throwing Big Cass in the main event scene right away. Looking forward to seeing how everything works out. Although feel like Rusev is lost in all this.

Furthermore, Smackdown culminated on a great note with the teasing of numerous new rivalries.
For now, the WWE Championship feud should continue between AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura.
In the meantime, Big Cass will be going after Daniel Bryan to rejuvenate his WWE career right after returning to the mix.
Really enjoyed tonight’s #SDLive. Samoa Joe the biggest name brought in, the tag team division got some big boosts, forgot to mention but IIconic sounding great on the mic. Bar a 1 minute segment, no Shane or Paige on the show which I am fine with. Thumbs up from me.
