As reported in recent times, WWE Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy revealed that he has re-signed a deal with the WWE. The company remained tight-lipped about it but the concerned superstar opened up about his stint with the WWE getting extended and thus the fans would be happy to learn that their favorite star is staying on TV for long.

Jeff Hardy recently told BT Sport that he has signed a new contract with WWE in recent times. As of now, WWE is renewing their superstars’ deal for five years unlike previous days as they have to secure the talents from the reach of the main rival brand, All Elite Wrestling promotion. But that may not be the case for the high-flying superstar.

There have been speculations that Jeff Hardy has also inked a new five-year deal with the WWE, but that’s not true. PWInsider reports that rumors of the veteran professional wrestler staying in WWE for five more years aren’t right. Word is now as mentioned by the source that Hardy’s contract is actually closer to 2-3 years in length.

Jeff Hardy came back in the WWE back in 2017 with his brother Matt Hardy to rekindle the Hardy Boyz phenomenon. Their deal expired within two years which then got extended to one more year. After the expiry date, Matt chose to leave the company due to creative issues. As of now, he’s a member of the All Elite Wrestling promotion.

As for Jeff Hardy, he has time added to his WWE deal after sitting out of competition for months, not once but twice. This was caused due to injury-related time away. The same was noted in the interview while also mentioning that the re-signing went down with a clause where he gets to bring back his “No More Words” theme song.

But he’s not interested to do so until the crowds return to WWE events and that’s perhaps not happening, anytime soon.

“I look forward to being in front of a crowd again because I think I’m getting my old theme back, from 2008-2009, called ‘No More Words’ and it’s going to be special again,” Jeff Hardy revealed.
