For those who are wondering about the status of Samoa Joe in the WWE, he’s out of action with a broken finger. This is why he’s been making back to back appearance during Kickoff Show panels, sporting a cast.
Major update on CM Punk after Backstage return
He is officially part of the Monday Night Raw roster as the USA Network executives picked him during the Draft process. But he’s not been back on WWE weekly TV since then.
Two WWE stars sign new multi-year contract
There have been talks of bringing back Samoa Joe on TV for sometimes but there’re still some uncertainties about it. The member of the Raw brand will perhaps make his return after waiting for at least another month. Even then, there’s no guarantee that he will be used that soon.
Fightful Select noted that Samoa Joe is listed to make a December return, right now. But nothing is confirmed and anything can change, especially in WWE which continues to make changes in schedule. His return might be scheduled in late December, but that’s not concrete, for sure,
“Samoa Joe is listed as ‘returning’ in December. This is hardly a guarantee.”
We’ll have to wait a bit more before Samoa Joe eventually makes his comeback to the WWE as it depends on the creative team, entirely. Also, the medical team of the WWE will have to clear him before the officials can insert him into a storyline. Hopefully, they will hold off his return until the time is right so that an impactful return can be planned around the Samoan Submission Machine.
PWInsider.com reported earlier in the month of October that Samoa Joe is out of action with a finger injury,
“In asking around, we are told Joe suffered a broken thumb while performing and is currently waiting to be cleared to return to action. We have not heard a timetable for his return.”
At present, Samoa Joe is resting his thumb which appeared to be a big bummer for Samoa Joe. Not only he is prohibited from wrestling with a broken thumb, but also he is not allowed to play video games with it.
