WWE has confirmed that two more superstars have agreed to stay under their wings for some more years. On the latest episode of WWE Backstage, it was confirmed that the former WWE Champion The Miz and former Divas Champion Paige have signed new contracts. They have agreed to multi-year deals with the promotion lengthening their stint.
New announcement for Survivor Series
Former World Champion Randy Orton recently confirmed that he has re-signed with WWE. He will be staying for at least five more years with Vince McMahon owned company.
Now two more names with bigger fans following have decided to renew the contract which is good news for the company. It is more significant in a time when All Elite Wrestling appeared to be a major threat to them.
But WWE managed to save most of their in-ring talents from AEW, for now. The Miz reacted on this recent signing news on social media saying that WWE has been his home for the last 15 years and it will continue to be so for years to come.
Lana not comfortable getting cozy with Lashley
We have not received any official updates on the longevity of their renewed contract with the WWE. But both of them are trusted shoulders and the company would love to keep them for years to follow. So they have signed at least a three-year-long deal.
The Miz and Paige must be very happy following this contract extension. Here’s more from their contract in an update from sescoops.com,
“While neither the announcement nor the superstars themselves have revealed the length of their new contract, Randy Orton did mention that he will be staying with WWE for the next 5 years at least.
Since the company is also looking to sign wrestlers to longer contracts, it’s not hard to assume that both these stars’ contract is similar to Orton’s new deal in length.”
For now, The Miz has not been involved in any active storyline. Ever since he turned into a babyface, WWE decided to halt his push. As for Paige, the company will look forward to using her in non-wrestling roles. She is regularly appearing on WWE Backstage and will continue to do so on FOX.
