WWE WrestleMania 38 might retain the two-night format for the grandest PPV of the year. Starting with 2020, WWE has been presenting the Biggest Event of the Year across two days, moving on from the original single day format and the move was a welcoming experience from the fans’ perspective. So the same format is likely to continue although no such confirmation is available.
Earlier this year, WWE announced WrestleMania 38 for Sunday, April 3, 2022, from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. This is the same venue that was used for WrestleMania 32 in 2016. WWE has also announced that WrestleMania 39 will take place on Sunday, April 2, 2023, from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, removing all the speculations around the upcoming ‘Mania venues.

Now, the working plan internally as of last week was that WrestleMania 38 will be a two-night event, similar to WrestleMania 36 and WrestleMania 37, according to the reports of Fightful Select. The event may get rescheduled across Saturday, April 2, and Sunday, April 3. In this case, this would be the first two-night ‘Mania to be held in front of a full crowd capacity.

Wrestlemania 38 will have a change in plans
It was noted in the report that reception from the WWE roster to a two-night WrestleMania 38 event has been unanimously positive. Nothing official from WWE’s part has been noted, but many people within WWE have been notified about the change of plans.
In more update, WrestleMania 38 being a two-night event is something being discussed while any official decision is yet to be made, according to Wrestling Observer Radio. The company officials are going through the economics and business projections. They are likely to come up with a plan to see if hosting a two-night event like WrestleMania 36 and 37 will make sense, the next time around.
These new reports indicate a big change in plans from WWE as the Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon noted in a January 2021 interview with TV Insider that they intend to return to one-night format with WrestleMania 38,
“We want to maximize the value. The two nights are unique to the times [pandemic]. We have plans to go back to one night for future WrestleMania events, but of course we will see what happens this year. We want to deliver the best possible value we can for our fans who are hopefully able to attend and for those watching all around the world.”
