On this past episode of SmackDown, the bitter rivalry between Rey Mysterio and Seth Rollins got culminated in a No Holds Barred Match. Mysterio picked up the first and the much-needed win over Rollins to end the feud for good. It’s fitting as the latter one will be away from the scene for a short hiatus. Rollins will also face Murphy on next Friday’s SmackDown.
It’s worth noting that Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins are expecting their first child in December. So this hiatus is pretty expected as he will be looking forward to spending some time with his fiancée. The primary assumption is that he will be off WWE TV for four to six weeks after his match with Murphy, according to Ringside News.

It’s interesting to note that Seth Rollins is also set to take part in the Survivor Series pay-per-view event, next Sunday. The SmackDown Savior won his scheduled qualifier against Otis via interference from Murphy. Thus he joined Kevin Owens, Jey Uso on the Team from the Blue Brand. It’s assuming that the November 22 PPV will be the last time he’d appear on WWE TV, for now.

Previously, there have been some rumors about Seth Rollins potentially taking the hiatus around WWE Draft 2020 which was seemingly pushed back. The creative team didn’t want him to let go of TV for a long time. He is one of the cornerstone figures of the roster and they need him by any means. Also, before going away, WWE wanted to solidify his slot on the blue brand.
Once finding out she was pregnant, Becky Lynch relinquished her WWE RAW Women’s Championship back in May to Asuka. The night before at WWE Money in the Bank, Asuka won the Women’s Ladder Match. So Becky awarded her the title instead of letting her cash-in the contract on her.
Since then, Lynch has been away from WWE who didn’t appear on social media, either for a bit of a glimpse. She did appear backstage last month at a SmackDown taping. The MOM recently showed off her baby bump through a shadowy picture. The rumor mill is noting that Royal Rumble will take place in January. So it’s possible that Seth Rollins could return at that PPV which should be followed by Lynch’s return by Wrestlemania 37.
