Updated match card for WWE Payback after WWE Raw this week 1

After Wrestlemania, WWE’s next pay-per-view events will be WWE Payback on May 1st and it will be host at the All State arena in Chicago, Illinois. Previously, we were supposed to see major fall-outs from the grandest event in the upcoming PPV and we thought that was the reason to bring WWE Payback prior to Extreme Rules. But, now it seems Payback will be all about new opportunities as the new talents will cover the match card, mostly.

There are a number of fresh talents that debuted in the main roster while Shane is in charge. The Vaudevillains and Enzo Amore and Big Cass have been the newest members in the tag division whereas the lone wolf Baron Corbin has made a tremendous impact by winning the Andre the Giant memorial battle royal. Both of these newest members will be a part of WWE Payback. Apollo Crews is one must be mentioned rookie from NXT who made an impact on the main roster and can find a place as well on the match card later. As of now, the updated match card goes like this.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship singles match
AJ Styles vs. Roman Reigns (c)

WWE Intercontinental championship singles match
Cesaro vs. The Miz (c)(with Maryse)

WWE Women’s championship singles match
Natalya (with Bret Hart) vs. Charlotte (c)(with Ric Flair)

WWE Tag team championship match
The winner of The Vaudevillains vs. Enzo Amore and Big Cass will square-off against The New Day (c)

Singles match
Dean Ambrose vs. Chris Jericho

Singles match
Kevin Owens vs. Chris Jericho

As per the ongoing and reports from wrestlingINC.com, Baron Corbin should have a match up with Dolph Ziggler at WWE Payback. The PPV was scheduled on 22nd May at the prudential Center of New York, New Jersey but preponed to 1st May 2016 and will be aired on WWE Network.
