NXT Superstar Cora Jade is enjoying some of the most important moments of her career in recent times. Not only, she had defeated the reigning NXT Women’s Champion a couple of weeks ago but also turned out to be the pin-earner for Team Raquel on this past Sunday Night’s WarGames 2021.
At an age of just twenty, Cora Jade became the youngest WarGames competitor in the history of WWE NXT during the 2021 edition, this past Sunday night. Jade went on to become the next star performer on the third brand of WWE by pinning Jacy Jayne to score the victory for her team.
As the shocking win was a talking matter, all over the internet, several videos have surfaced on social media of a younger Cora Jade gushing over AEW star CM Punk, whom she considers her idol.
As seen in the posted videos, the currently signed NXT star and her father visited Punk for an autograph signing session. Jade’s father could be heard telling Punk, “Thanks for being a good role model. She really likes that straight edge stuff. She really looks up to someone like you, and it really carries over with school in being a strong person.” The young Jade was seen into tears as Punk would be hugging her for comforting her.

Cora Jade is familiar with Punk and AJ Lee
In another video, Cora Jade could be seen at a UFC event where Punk answered questions from fans. Prior to Jade asking any question, the former WWE Champion mentioned how this girl always “shows up at everything I do, every signing, every event.” She also tweeted pictures of the meeting in a previous tweet from last year.
As Cora Jade, herself turned into a professional wrestler, she has built a relationship with AJ Lee, the wife of Punk and a former WWE Divas Champion. Following her WarGames match on Sunday, Jade shared the photo of a motivational message that Lee penned on her sneakers. She is also likely planning something to celebrate her upcoming three-year anniversary as a pro wrestler.
As seen in NXT WarGames 2021, – Women’s War Games Match: Team Raquel (Raquel González, Io Shirai, Kay Lee Ray, and Cora Jade) defeated Team Dakota (Dakota Kai and Toxic Attraction (NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose and NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne) in the opening contest in which appeared to be Jade’s biggest win of her NXT career.
