The joining of Nick Khan brought a big-time relief to Vince McMahon as he was relieved by several duties in the company. The corporate side of the company is mostly overseen by the WWE President instead of the aged WWE Chairman, these days. The new head-honcho of the company is behind some major decisions of the company who could very well be in charge in a few years.

For years now, there’s been a burning question amongst the WWE Universe and that’s who’d be next to run the company after The Boss. WWE CEO Vince McMahon is 76 years old and has been running the company for almost 40 years. Due to age-related reasons, he will have to be relieved of his duties in the near future.

On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that the idea of WWE Day 1 PPV on January 1 is a Nick Khan idea. It was noted that the current plan is for this event to become an annual pay-per-view. This is the reason why WWE is hosting the event in a bigger way with Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns being the main event match.

It was noted that December PPVs traditionally do not do well, given that it’s a holiday PPV. Vince McMahon-originated TLC was the most sufferer since it’s a December event. It was said that they have either performed terribly or great historically, depending on the lineups. A December event may entirely get scrapped from now onward.
