What To Expect From This Week’s Smackdown Live: March 13, 2018

WWE Fastlane was the last brand-exclusive PPV event prior to the Wrestlemania 34 PPV event. After what transpired on the show, we expect to see massive fallouts from the event on tonight’s episode of Smackdown Live. The storyline will begin for the main event of Wrestlemania in the form of a dream feud on the blue brand.
Plus, there was a championship change at the Fastlane event which ended in utter chaos. So, we can certainly expect that the situation should be addressed, going forward. Also, the undefeated one, from the women’s roster is heading to Smackdown Live which should change the course of the division. This week’s show will be hosted by the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Ever since Shinsuke Nakamura and AJ Styles came under the same brand, a match between them as inevitable. The WWE Champion retained his title at the bygone event confirming the match. It should be noted that The Artist has already chosen The Phenomenal One as his future opponent which is why this match is now official. The face-off between these two veteran superstars will be stored as a big-time occasion when Smackdown airs.
A blockbuster announcement is supposed to occur on the show, as well via the Smackdown commissioner, Shane McMahon. WWE.com confirmed it hinting that this will have some sort of Wrestlemania implications written over it,
“It seems as though there will be no slowing down for SmackDown LIVE’s Commissioner. McMahon will be making a WrestleMania announcement on SmackDown LIVE tonight. Will it have anything to do with the “Yep!” Movement, or has Shane-O-Mac come up with a complete surprise for the WWE Universe?”

Another face-off that took place at the Fastlane PPV was between Charlotte Flair and Asuka. After that confrontation, it is now official that these two will lock horns in a women’s title match at Wrestlemania 34. So, the rivalry will kick-off on the blue brand, right away. It is now confirmed that the Empress of Tomorrow will make her first-ever appearance on Smackdown Live.
It was quite interesting to see Asuka confronting Charlotte Flair at Fastlane since the streak-holder belonged to WWE Raw. But, with the choice being made by Asuka, the storyline angle will finally begin, starting from tonight. These two are the very best performers in the current women’s roster and hence, this rivalry should be a fun to watch.
Randy Orton became the United States Champion in the bygone title match. The former champion, Bobby Roode was not happy with it, at all. Meanwhile, Jinder Mahal kept on lurking in the scene by delivering sneak attacks. This certainly indicates that a triple threat title match would be announced for the US title. The setup for the same will start on Smackdown.
Also, the Smackdown tag team title match was disqualified by the presence of the Bludgeon Brothers. These two has been undefeated ever since the debut in the tag division. They deserve a shot to the title for quite sometimes. As per the current ongoing, Harper and Rowan would be given opportunities to earn the title match that is likely to take place at Wrestlemania 34.
