Becky Lynch has been WWE Raw Women’s Champion since the October 22 edition of Friday Night Smackdown. In her return back at Summerslam, she originally defeated Bianca Belair to win the blue brand women’s title in just 26 seconds. But then due to the WWE Draft in October, she was drafted to Raw and hence had to swap the title with Charlotte Flair who’s now the Smackdown Women’s Champion.
This is the second Raw Women’s Title reign for Becky Lynch who is all set to defend, next against Liv Morgan on this upcoming episode of Monday Night Raw from the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee. The challenger won a Fatal 5-Way match a few weeks ago toppling the names like Bianca Belair, Rhea Ripley, and women’s tag champs Carmella and Zelina Vega to earn her opportunity.
Now the wrestling circuit is obviously happy about Morgan getting a title shot against the veteran Becky Lynch. This must be an attempt to elevate the status of the former Riott Squad member but it appears that she’ll have to wait a bit longer to capture her first championship in the WWE.

Becky Lynch is likely retaining her women’s title
According to Wrestling News, Becky Lynch will also defend her title on New Year’s Day at WWE Day 1 PPV event. Hence, the current plan for the champion is to win in the upcoming WWE Raw Women’s Title match against Liv Morgan and retain.
WWE is making an effort of advertising Becky Lynch vs. Bianca Belair for the upcoming house shows in the near future. This would seemingly suggest that the plan is for Big Time Becks to retain the title over Morgan on Monday. Belair could be the next in line which makes sense as she was the sole survivor for Team Raw at Survivor Series 2021.
Since Morgan is being portrayed as a strong babyface, as of now, the plan could be for her to be protected despite the loss, especially given that the champion is mostly cheating her way to victories in recent times. House show cards can always change but as per the WWE Day 1 report, there won’t be a women’s title change on Raw, and Becky Lynch is bound to stretch her championship streak for some more days.
