Shane McMahon is reportedly returning to the WWE for the WrestleMania 38 Week. This appeared to be a piece of surprising news for the WWE Universe considering how he was literally expelled during the Royal Rumble weekend.
Reports claimed back then that Shane McMahon had caused a lot of issues during the Royal Rumble planning this year. Then he was sent home and Wrestlemania 38 plans were nixed for him. He was also supposed to get involved at the Elimination Chamber PPV but that was not the case. But he’d be around Dallas for WrestleMania 38 weekend to be in a handy position for the WWE officials.
Shane McMahon Still Reportedly Involved In WWE Operations
A new report from PWInsider noted that WWE will be bringing Shane McMahon into Dallas, Texas the Biggest Event of the Year. There’s no update on how he will actually be utilized at the pay-per-view, but word is that he’s staying in the town with the crew during the entire weekend.
Shane McMahon’s WWE TV return is yet to be let known
Ringside News asked around about Shane McMahon staying in Dallas around WrestleMania and got the update that there is currently nothing planned for him at WrestleMania 38. All the creative inputs made by him were trashed during the Royal Rumble weekend and things for him haven’t since improved since then.
As noted, Shane McMahon returned to action during the 2022 Men’s Royal Rumble Match. He was also expected to face Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 38. Since McMahon is around the city, there are rumors going that the match might actually be in the pipeline. We have to wait and see if things go that way.
While working in the Rumble match, McMahon picked up significant heat from others in the company, including WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon. He was actually working as a producer for the Men’s Rumble match and tried to make the match all about himself. The effort didn’t come to fruition after the officials responded in a negative way.
While Seth While Rollins vs. Shane McMahon was expected at Wrestlemania 38 before the latter was pulled from creative plans, McMahon was also pushing for a feud with emerging Raw Superstar Austin Theory. It’ll be interesting to see if any of these planning becomes a reality, down the road.
