Wrestlemania 38 will go bigger from the state of Dallas, Texas, and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin is expected to be there in action. He has already been there in the promotional videos released for the show as he has lent his voice for the commercials already. Now the rumors are rife about the legendary superstar who might come out of retirement for one more match.
While this obviously is a huge attention-seeking return for WWE in time for Wrestlemania 38, the company is probably hoping to have another huge segment, scheduled for one of the two PPV nights.
On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed that another Stone Cold-level surprise could be in-store at Wrestlemania 38. The list of names would be as big as the WWE Hall of Famer. Meltzer then also hinted at the possible appearances and those could be the likes of The Rock, The Undertaker or John Cena and that name would also be a very exclusive one for the show,
“The Rock, I think Dwayne’s got stuff going on, so I don’t think it’s going to be him. So, who else do we have? Hogan, Flair, and Undertaker, right? Is there anybody else still alive that would qualify at that level?
Cena’s got stuff going on. That could always be a swerve, too, but I was told he’s got stuff going on. I don’t see Cena being at the level of an Austin.”

Meltzer also noted on the Wrestlemania 38 planning around Stone Cold. It’s not known at this point whether he’s signed to a contract or not but the plan for him is to wrestle at the show. With that hope, WWE has already begun the storyline angle with Kevin Owens to set up a battle of stunners,
“I don’t know which night he’s going to wrestle, but that is the plan. They pretty much started the feud on Raw. And there’s apparently one more surprise besides Austin still to come. It’s supposed to be Austin level. That’s a pretty small list of people that could be Austin level.”
Stone Cold returning to action at WrestleMania 38 is a huge story, itself as he’s often considered to be the most prolific sports entertainer of all time. But WWE has to fill up the card for not one but two separate nights and hence more than one big return is indeed required. WWE requires star powers to make two straight sell-out nights and bringing another gigantic name to the show makes all the sense.
Wrestlemania 38 will take place at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas. The venue has the capacity of hosting 100,000 people. Last time, WWE brought Stone Cold, The Rock, John Cena, The Undertaker, Triple H together for the 32nd edition of the show from this stadium.
