Good times are upon the WWE as they’ve just delivered the biggest Wrestlemania of all time in their history in the form of Wrestlemania 39. Not only that, this could only be the scratch in success given that the WWE-UFC partnership has begun to offer new cross-promotional creative ideas in the future.

During the post Wrestlemania 39 press conference, WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque highlighted the massive success of the latest WrestleMania under his creative influence. Afterward, WWE officially announced on their official website announcing the numbers around the Show of Shows’ latest edition.

Wrestlemania 39 Becomes The Most Successful Wrestlemania Of All Time In WWE History 1

Night one of WrestleMania 39 brought in 28% more viewers than the previous record while night two went even further by bringing in 33% more viewers around the world. Overall the April PLE generated a gate of more than $21.6 million, breaking the previous record by 27 percent, with 161,892 in attendance at SoFi Stadium over the two nights.

According to Triple H, WWE also broke SoFi Stadium’s attendance record for two nights in a row, with 80,497 attendees on night one and 81,395 on night two. WWE does have a history of increasing the attendance numbers for events like WrestleMania but ultimately these numbers are counted in their record books.

Wrestlemania 39 created social media and viewership records

Wrestlemania 39 was a hit on social media as well, garnering “over 500 million views and 11 million hours of video consumed” across Night One and Night Two. That’s an increase of 42% in comparison to WrestleMania 38 from last year.

In addition, WrestleMania 39 also broke all-time sponsorship and merchandise records. Over $20 million in revenues were generated, more than doubling the previous record. Merchandise sales were up 20 percent in comparison to the record set in 2022.

“This is the most successful WrestleMania of all time,” Triple H reflected on the success in his own words. “As Roman Reigns would say, WrestleMania 39 smashed the records for viewership, for gate, for sponsorship, for merchandise, for social media.” It was added by the head honcho that it was the highest-paid attendance and highest-grossing weekend in the company’s history.

Wrestlemania 39 Night One main event saw Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn defeated The Usos for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles. On Night Two, Roman Reigns retained the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Cody Rhodes.
